The H.E.A.V. BLOG Can Now Be Heard

Create My Voice is proud to sponsor the H.E.A.V. BLOG on Smart Speakers.  You can now listen to the H.E.A.V. BLOG posts on any Amazon Alexa or Google Home Smart Speaker.

On your Amazon Alexa Smart Speaker, just say:   "Alexa, open H.E.A.V."

On your Google Home Smart Speaker, just say:   "OK Google, talk to H.E.A.V."

Would You Like to Create Your Own Voice App?

If so, we created a few lessons with step-by-step instructions on how to create your own Voice App.  These lessons are available through the PDF links below.  [note: If you are listening to this BLOG Post and are interested in these step-by-step lessons on creating Voice Apps, just visit CreateMyVoice.com and find this BLOG Post which is titled "Sponsoring Home Educator's Association of Virginia 2019".]

Create an Amazon Alexa Skill

Voice Apps for Amazon Alexa devices are called Alexa Skills.  Alexa Skills primarily run on the Alexa enabled Smart Speakers, however; Amazon Alexa can be installed on SmartPhones and Windows 10 computers as well.  To help you create a Voice App for Amazon Alexa Smart Speakers, Amazon provides a tool called Blueprints which has many templates for easily creating your own Voice App.

Create a Google Action

Voice Apps for Google devices are called Google Actions.  To create a Voice App for Google Smart Speakers, Google currently requires using two tools, Dialogflow and Actions on Google.  I suspect that Google will eventually combine the two tools - the result will be similar to the Amazon Blueprints tool.  We have three lessons which provide step-by-step instructions on how to create your own Voice App for Google.  One of the side benefits, when you create a Google Action, is that it works on any device with Google Assistant installed.   Google Assistant comes preinstalled on Android SmartPhones.

We value your feedback as we work to make these and future lessons valuable for you.   If your feedback is specific to a lesson, please indicate the lesson.  Thank you!
